Radiohead "The Lotus" | 34" Dia.

In this work I tried to replicate the dizzy, meditative state of Radiohead’s ‘The Lotus’ that spirals around you and wanted to capture the intertwining loops of the music.

Perpetual Motion series explores the use of line and color to create rhythm and convey the sense of constant movement in a static image. Each work relates to a track of music that I play in a constant loop throughout the painting process. This allows me to get swept into the music so that I can use its rhythm and melodies to help orchestrate the painting's composition.
