This painting depicts guitarist Dean Magraw's "Isabella" composition which is a lively and joyful dance on a guitar.  I sought to capture the free movement and aliveness.

Perpetual Motion explores the use of line and color to create rhythm and convey the sense of constant movement in a static image. For each work I select a track of music that I play in a constant loop throughout the painting process. This allows me to get swept into the music so that I can use its rhythm and melodies to help orchestrate the painting's composition.
