This painting translates guitarist Dean Magraw’s joyful, uplifting composition into lines and shapes.

Perpetual Motion explores the use of line and color to create rhythm and convey the sense of constant movement in a static image. For each work I select a track of music that I play in a constant loop throughout the painting process. This allows me to get swept into the music so that I can use its rhythm and melodies to help orchestrate the painting's composition.
